Very quiet steers, typical of bucket reared calves. The cattle were very relaxed when drafting and processing, there was 1 steer that was a little anxious on the scales. Once back with the other animals this animal was calm.

The TD Hicks & DA Sagrera partnership offer a small consignment of Senepol x Jersey steers. The steers are out of registered Jersey cows by AI Senepol sire, and are surplus to requirement. Vendor bred, weaned and grass assured, these steers are in genuine store condition and would suit a grass or grain backgrounding operation. Typical of bucket reared calves these steers have an excellent temperament, they are patient and gentle cattle to handle. Vendor has a herd of excellent quality registered Jersey cows, of which a portion were insemination with SNV Coliseum 3115A E.T. Coliseum is an ALTA Genetics owned Senepol bull that has a reputation for strong confirmation, soundness with a very balanced spread of growth and maternal numbers. Please Note: Vendor will offer an additional lot in this sale - the heifer portion of the Jersey x Senepol bred cattle.
