Assessor Comments
Buyers, a load of Paspaley Pastoral steers that have a very good reputation & present in store to forward condition. They were weaned back in January so should hit the ground running if they can get access to improved pastures or good quality grass country. These would normally be retained and taken through to heavier export feedlot entry weights however the season is considered “only just” and more rainfall is needed prior to winter to allow oats to be planted. The rain is currently eluding them, so the decision is to sell now. Steers will suit backgrounders to take to heavier export feedlot entry weight specifications. The steers do show pretty good weight for age considering they are not carrying any excessive condition. In the lot there are 5 with eyes that vary from only a small blue dot up to the verge of blight (photos of all 5 attached). These eyes have been treated with Orbenin & will be inspected at delivery to ensure they have improved. Most are 260-340kgs (only 9 heavier).
