A good quality 4 deck line of Vendor Bred, HGP Free, Flatback No.2 Steers that display good bone, plenty of frame, weight for age and faultless temperament. Out of a good Droughtmaster based Composite Cow herd and by Jim Litchfields Hazeldean Angus and Sam Beckers Jarrah Red Bulls. These steers exhibit good growth and offer a large compensatory gain if given the opportunity to return to good feed. This lot allows the purchaser to target a range of different markets whether it be background to trade weight or heavy feeders or grow out to slaughter weights and fatten into bullocks. An ideal line to go onto crop or improved pasture. On assessment it was observed that 4 steers display a small amount of old fly bite scarring, this is not deemed detrimental. Please note this vendor also has a 4 deck line of heifers in the same sale.

This line of steers was bred at the vendors breeder property 'Powlathanga' West of Charters Towers and were transferred to 'Lancewood' prior to the 2023 wet season.

Out of a predominantly Droughtmaster Cross Cow herd and sired by both Jim Litchfield Hazeldean Angus Bulls and Sam Becker Jarrah Red Bulls.

These steers have been grazing on fresh native pastures up until the end of April. Since then, they have grazed a mix of irrigated Forage Sorghum and Buffel Grass as well as Urochloa.
