Steers 2nd run through the race at assessment being drafted through the pound the day before. handled exceptionally well with only a small percentage becoming agitated in the weigh box and or pushing in. Settled easily once back in the yards and will only improve with more handling from assessment to delivery.

STEER BACKGROUNDERS & BULLOCK FATTNERS TAKE NOTE OF THESE QUALITY VENDOR BRED WEANER STEERS. A very good line of young Brahman and Brahman Cross steers. Steers are Large to moderate frame, displaying plenty of bone and quality confirmation. These are Freshly weaned steers in forward condition however show plenty of growth potential, and have over 250 days of HGP left to run! All display tidy heads and a good temperament. The mothers of these steers is heavily influenced by the highly regarded Bungoona bloodlines with Charolais genetics through the core breeding herd including River Glen. Assessed 10 days off mothers & handled very well through the draft and scales. 15% flatback with 85% brahman type steers. All the hard work has been done, ready for a purchaser to take advantage of growing out these steers further. 41hd 200-230kg, 84hd 230-300kg and 19hd 300kg+ (full weight at assessment). Mixed colours being 45hd blacks, 40hd reds and honeys, 31hd greys, 14hd brown, 11hd brindles and 3hd baldy face/speckled.

Out of Charbray, Brahman and Brahman X Cows by Brahman Bulls. Charbray cows are predominately River Glen and Ayr Charolais Genetics.
Grazing Conditions
Majority of weaners pulled off mum on the 6th of July and will have been on feed in yards from then until delivery. Vendors use a very high quality Cow pea and Rhodes grass hay ration with weaners holding condition exceptionally well.

Part of our annual turn off of weaner steers, these are the lead of our 1st round Brahman type weaners drafted into a line of "colours", similar types and showing good growth, bone and temperament. Will be yard weaned and educated until delivery.
