Temperament not assessed in Paddock
These have quietened down very well since weaning commenced with all the bellowing for the cows almost gone. They all handled very easily at assessment through the crush and in the race and probably the quietest crop of weaners I have assessed at Warroo. They had never been through the race prior to assessment, they behaved like they had been up there numerous times. Very quiet out in the bigger yards for photos and video. They do respond well to bikes and dogs in the paddock.

Assessor Comments
Buyers, a small lot of Red Angus lightweight mixed sexes that were just discarded from the two main lines of steers and heifers. The vendor thinks these are probably just younger than the others hence the lighter weights of them. They will probably just need a bit of TLC once purchased as some of them are still fairly light in weight to be discarded from the cows. Please check the video to get an accurate assessment of their condition. They are very clean in the muzzle with no nasal discharge that is sometimes prevalent in weaners at this time of year indicating good health. The 13 steers weighed from 96-145kgs to average 123kgs. The 6 heifers weighed from 75-123kgs to average 99kgs.

Bred out of a good quality herd of Red Angus females.

Breeding Comments
All by registered Red Angus bulls purchased ex: Anama (SA). The genetic gain from the introduction of these sires has been very beneficial to this herd.
Grazing Conditions
Bred in traprock country and currently has had a very dry summer/autumn. There was 50mm received 2 weeks ago so there is a very light coverage of clover coming through. Still in the weaning process and being fed good quality hay in the yards.
Returned to: Will be held in holding paddocks on mainly dry grass and supplemented with hay.
Vendor Comments
The annual turnoff of weaners. These were just discarded from the main lines to tidy them up.
