Temperament not assessed in Paddock
The heifers were good to handle in the crush, race and yards. Four heifers were nervous in the race before the crush and then wouldn't settle in the crush. Heifers were settled when standing in the yards, though when attempting to video a lead would walk out, the bulk would often rush to follow and the tail would take their time.

Assessor Comments
A mostly very good to good quality line of EU Accredited Lifetime Traceable Angus, Angus cross and Speckle Park/Ang Hfrs. They were purchased privately in November last year from a neighboring property and have a known history. The heifers were assessed as 72% large framed and 28% medium framed and suit to take directly onto feed for the domestic supermarket trade. The would also suit a grass finishing operation as they came from a Grasslands accredited prop and have not had access to grain or cotton seed.. All Hfrs mouthed as assessment with 22 x solid milk tooth, 5 x milk but showing wear (see photo) and 5 x 2 tooths. One heifer treated for healing pink eye at assessment that will very likely leave blue eye scarring. All heifers will be checked before delivery and no heifers with additional signs of pink eye will be loaded without the buyers consent. A solid line of feeder heifers that are in good store condition and should move onto feed quickly.
