IDEAL BACKGROUNDING TYPES TO PUT AWAY UNTIL REACHING DESIRED TARGET WEIGHT.
STEERS ARE USUALLY RETAINED AND PLACED ONTO OATS CROP THEN SOLD AS GOOD HEAVY FEEDERS INTO NEAR BY FEEDLOTS.
Steers are doing well going by the Optiweigh mobile in the paddock and being kept up to the mark with access to wheaten hay/cotton seed/rolled barley molassesswhich is the normal process before going onto oats pasture in the past.
