These steers were as expected to handle given they have been running in a large mob and from various origins. Odd steer stirred up on the scales but settled for videoing and with space. They moved freely through the yards responding correctly to pressure. These steers have been routinely handled and weighed.

Assessor Comments
Offering 41 head of feeder steers as part of the annual backgrounding program. 100% antibiotic free and grass fed only and weighed 350-441kg at assessment after a big 16 hour curfew. These steers have performed well after arriving in autumn/winter as weaners and have maintained a continuous growth rate since. They are being returned to fresh pastures until delivery and they will continue to gain weight. Presenting even as a line these steers stand on a decent frame with good fat coverage and by no means overdone. They have been rotationally grazing improved irrigated pastures in a larger mob and will remain in their sale line until delivery. Ideal feeder steers to fatten for positive forward options and with some improvement in seasonal conditions a grass fed option is possible. Please note. Vendor is also offering another light 3 decks of Angus x Angus feeder steers in today’s sale.
