Here is a line of droughtmaster and droughtmaster cross steers showing plenty of frame and compensatory weight gain. These steers were purchased as young weaners over the past 6 to 12 months. The majority of these steers were purchased in 2 lines. The steers were purchased for the intention of growing out to feeder steers on owners property in the Western Downs district but drier than normal conditions in this area are the reason for offloading these steers earlier than desired. These steers will take off on better quality feed. The steers handled well throughout the yards with no problems. These steers were trucked in from Western Downs to Wondai 6 days prior to assessment and been on hay in yards since. These cattle have had a very good curfew. Please not these steers were bred in cattle tick infested country before being cleared into cattle tick free area where they currently reside. Also this vendor has 2 other lots of steers in this sale.
