Temperament not assessed in Paddock
Steers were very quiet to handle in the yards and on the scales. Most steers did react a bit to being caught in the head bale whilst being tagged with their NLIS device. This behavior is not unusual. Only three steers that could be described as slightly stirry in the crush but quiet out with their mates in the bigger yards. There is video of them being let out of the yards and they just walked out extremely well. Temperament is not an issue here.

Assessor Comments
Buyers, a B-double load of steers best described as Hereford/Braford/Angus/Simmental Composites due to the mix of breeds involved in the vendor’s breeding program, both cows and bulls (see stock history comments and photos/video). They mainly show British bred traits. They present in basically store to forward store condition with a few that have a little bit more cover on them. The steers show good carcass traits with length and frame and I would imagine these will suit most export feedlots for direct entry straight away. There would undoubtedly be export feedlots with cattle booked in however wet conditions and road closures is probably preventing these from coming in so please consider these in the short term. Steers are extremely quiet so should adapt to a feedlot environment reasonably quickly. Delivery is Monday 7th April however if there is additional rain then this will need to be pushed back to a later date. There are 58 steers (405-500kgs) and 7 steers (500-554kgs).

These are just a normal annual turnoff of steers that have done very well over an extended period of time. These are probably the heaviest we have ever sold steers at this age before.
