Unbelievably quiet to handle throughout the whole process with only a small % being unsure/timid whilst standing on our portable scales. The vendor has taken a lot of pride in handling these steers during weaning & it was extremely evident during our assessment.

Schiavello Vic Pty Ltd have unfortunately become severely impacted by the recent bushfire events that have occurred in our local region & have been forced to sell their spring born weaned steers earlier than desired. These animals are traditionally well sought after by repeat purchasers who admire their growth, doing ability & sensational temperament. Generally purchasing Angus sires in the top 10% from Kelly Angus (Yea) targeting 400 & 600 Day EBVs & also a high emphasis on phenotype. Having witnessed local producers purchasing these animals over the years it has been a pleasure to note their capacity to grow into heavy feeder steers with a high % of muscle definition, length & frame size. During assessment we treated two steers that were exhibiting the start of pinkeye & have also had an eye patch placed on. The vendor has stated if the successful purchaser wishes to reject those animals that is okay although we have given them every possible chance to heal.
