Assessor Comments
A very good line of steers presenting in forward store condition ready to go on with. These steers are only being offered for sale because of the tough season, otherwise they would have been grown out to feeder weights. They have really started to be on the do in the last 6 weeks while being on vetch hay, along with coprice grower pellets and cracked lupins which have been fed in feed bunkers. These steers are out of medium to large frame Reiland blood cows and by Bongongo and Crawford Angus bulls. These August/ September drop steers have only been weaned early due to seasonal conditions and weighed between 192kg and 326kg at assessment, with all health treatments up to date. While being in the yards the cattle were a pleasure to handle easily flowing through the yards. All the hard work done and they are ready for someone to take on a grow out to either feeder or kill weights.
