The heifers came through the yards steadily and were easy to draft with the exception of two that became agitated and could become aggressive if kept from their mates. all of them flowed up the race easily and were settled to weigh. They were easy to walk through as one mob to take photos and were very settled. These heifers have had lots of handling in the paddock and been through the yards a number of times

A nice line of background heifers that are surplus to replacement requirements. These cattle have been handled extensively with horse’s motorbikes and dogs. They largely show a Droughtmaster influence with just a splash of euro in some and the balance showing more Brahman content. They have enough quality to become future breeders and could be mated this season or would certainly grow into excellent heavy feeder heifers or the slaughter heifers. The heifers handled well given the wet and humid conditions in the yards, they flowed through the yards and drafted up well with the exception of 3 that were quick through out the whole process but settle once back in the mob. These heifers present in store condition and are moving ahead on the fresh feed at present. 21 were mouthed with 7head just breaking the 2 tooth and 14 being milk. They are all number 5 with one number 4 that was mouthed and is a 2 tooth. These heifers offer a good opportunity for a quick turnaround going into the growing season. Treated at assessment with Cattle Guard back line. The vendor believes they have not had access to bulls. Theses cattle are in a tick area it was noted that one heifer has a small amount of fly bite.
