Heifers flowed well through yards, some were agitated when isolated and would need to be slowed through gates but were quite calm in bigger yards. Temperament was not unusual and more work would see big benefit.

Assessor Comments
180 Droughtmaster & Droughtmaster Cross heifers on offer split over two lines of even and fair run out the gate of 90 head for each lot. Vendor also has a third lot of 54 head of Crossbred heifers is the same sale. Heifers are showing excellent attributes of the Droughtmaster Breed, growth for age, bone and would suit a breeding operation, alternatively I would expect them to perform on feed also. Heifers were weighed after 24 hour feed curfew and pregnancy testing but still handled well after being in yards for so long. Heifers present in fresh condition running in typical western Mulga country and will really bounce on good feed. Majority of heifers were purchased in from Wyloo & Warrawagine Stations in Western Australia as light weaners and have grown out well. Based on Munda & Valera Vale bloodlines. There is a small percentage of vendor bred and other purchased in heifers. Heifers have been scanned ND, with bulls taken out at assessment.
