Assessor Comments
Prime lamb finishers, here is an excellent opportunity to purchase top quality 2nd cross sucker lambs. Lambs were born 10 March to 14 April 2025, with the majority of these lambs being later born (between 25th March to 14 April). They come from a drop of 1050 lambs, with the tops of the drop sold over the hooks in mid July. A marking percentage of 168% was recorded in the mob, so many of these lambs would be twins. The lambs are sired by top Ridgehaven Poll Dorset rams and out of Poll Dorset x Merino ewes. Previous drops of the same genetics have performed at over 40% IMF bonus with Gundagai Lamb, winning best lambs under 6 months in 2023 and 2nd place in 2024. Lambs have been trained onto self feeders with the ewes prior to weaning, and have averaged 380 grams per day weight gain from weaning to assessment. Rare opportunity to purchase lambs with proven performance and all the hard work done, only being offered due to tight seasonal conditions. Agent can transfer EID tags for NLIS.
