Assessor Comments
Presented is the annual sale of Chatsworth Pastoral bred, May/June drop 2X suckers. 395 Poll Dorset X Border Leicester/Merino unweaned suckers that average 42.8Kg empty. Each sucker was individually weighed at 37Kg and over at assessment for buyer confidence. Topping at 49Kg, these suckers are well on their way to reaching killable trade and export market weights. Suckers were vaccinated with 6 in 1 at marking as well as receiving Cydectin Weaner Guard in September. Averaging 3 inches of wool length, suckers were crutched in November. Very well bred lambs sired by Hillden and Pinewalla Poll Dorset rams, by Retallack blood 1X ewes. These suckers show ideal frame and stretch, right in the slot for fattening particularly once shorn. A great opportunity to secure an article of genuine vendor bred, individually weighed out 2X suckers to continue to grow and fatten over the warmer months to reach trade and export weights. A tail has been removed from the mob.
