Assessor Comments
An opportunity to purchase a tidy line of young Ewe lambs on the improve after a tough seasonal start. These lambs present in fresh score 2 condition after feeding and recent rain in the local area. The lambs in this lot have been early weaned in October 2024 and supplementary fed pellets and hay via paddock feeders to ensure continued development even though they had been early weaned. These lambs display good frame and body type to make them an ideal article to background through to heavier kill weights or future breeders after a draft. The Killarney Park lambs are generally taken through to heavier weights and sold to feeders with very good reports from previous purchasers. These lambs are being sold at lighter wights in 2025 to sure up feed for older stock with seasonal conditions uncertain. All lambs in this sale were terrific to handle in the paddock and through the yards during the assessing process. The vendor also has another 2 lines of lambs in the same sale.
