Assessor Comments
Complete drop of the Pioneer White Suffolks commercial new season lambs. From a performance recorded flock the lambs are typically taken through to kill weights but due to stocking rates they are being sold early to allow livestock and pastures the best chance to recover. Presenting even as a line they were weaned at assessment and remained in the sheep yards for 24 hours to settle before being released onto improved and growing ryegrass and clover based pastures, where they will remain until delivery. These lambs are pure bred White Suffolks and will perform above the average with continued nutrition. They had an average weight at assessment of 24.5kg from a sample of 111 head. They are early May to early June drop and are displaying great length and shape for their age. A small tail sub 17kg and anything that didn’t belong in the line was removed at assessment. Ideal light weight lambs to secure before spring growth ramps up and they become harder to find. Perfect to top up quickly to feeder or light domestic kill weights or even take through to heavy exports with confidence.
