Lambs have been yard weaned and tailed with access to GQ Vetch Hay and trail fed corn for 3 days.
Assessor Comments
Offering 700 Merino/Dohne Cross Wether Lambs. These wether lambs averaged 25.4kg live at assessment after being yard weaned two days prior. The lambs are 3 to 4.5 months old with a good start but season starting to dry off. These lambs are bred from majority large frame Merino/Dohne ewes with Dohne and Merino rams used to balance out wool and meat characteristics. They have been trail fed corn for the last few weeks on the ewe and will have finished a three day weaning program in the yards being fed good quality vetch hay. These lambs are the total drop with a 9% tail removed before assessment. Please note there a few lambs sighted with horns and some lambs have lightly scabbed ears as shown in photos.
