Assessor Comments
Due to seasonal conditions, Nelyambo Pastoral are offering their lead draft of Merino Wether Lambs. These lambs are typically retained by the vendor, with previous years Wethers cutting 3.5kg of 17 micron wool at 10 months and performing well through to slaughter weights. These lambs have been drenched, double vaccinated with 6in1 and strikelab treated, with a recent worm egg count (16/01/26) returning clean results. They have been grain trained on their mothers and are now confidently transitioning onto grain independently. Currently they have been running on a ration consisting of 25% Faber Beans and 25% Barley. These Merino Wether lambs present an excellent opportunity to retain as a wool growers particularly given the current strength in the wool market, or alternatively to shear a quality low micron fleece and feed on to killable weights. Please note there are 215 second draft Wether lambs available that weighed up at 20kg
