Assessor Comments
Good strong M/J 2016 drop Rices Creek blood ewes that are strong medium to large frame, that would have at least one, if not two more lambings left in them. Purchased earlier in the year with 118% WS LAF, these ewes have done a great job on their lambs. Considering the wet and cold conditions since weaning and shearing, and the lack of feed around at lambing, these ewes are just about to really go forward. Ewes cut 5kg of fleece at eight months. All ewes in this lot were mouthed sound at assessment. Some ewes were missing wing teeth, but still have a minimum of six
(5% of lot) to eight teeth. An advantage is that some mouths are naturally ground due to running on tougher country before being purchased in May. These ewes were ex Eudunda, in the mid north of SA.
