Assessor Comments
A great lot of ewes to trade or slip into a breeding programme with a quick rebate on their backs. These ewes are great production factories with approx 130% of lambs on them at assessment which will be weaned at delivery. With a good staple of medium wool on them they present a viable option to get a lamb out of whilst receiving a quick return as they could be shorn now. Vendors have been on Kerin Poll bloodlines for 14 years. A few ewes have shorter patches of wool from old fly strike (see pics and vid), not affecting performance. The sample weighed from 44kg to 74kg after 7 hours in yards. They averaged 53.4kg There are 74 purchased ewes in the mob with the majority being vendor bred ewes. On inspection the sample mouthed indicated good strong mouths.
