Assessor Comments
Dispersal of 1st x ewes due to property sale. Total offering of 1100 ewes with these being the 2022 drop ewes. Ewes present well considering that in last 2 weeks have had lambs weaned and been shorn. Have improved since shearing and will continue to improve on feed ready for joining. Karatta lambing over past 3 years have been averaging over 150% in the xbred mob. Vendor bred and proven breeders with drys removed each year. Property has undergone a PIRSA footrot program 3 years ago and received a clear result, no sheep have been bought onto property since clearance and to best knowledge sheep are clean. Some ewes showing lameness when walking in and working in yards, were checked and presented fine in feet health. Any badly unfit to travel ewes will be removed. Ewes are still under WHP for Moximax pre lambing treatment till 26/8/26. 20 ewes mouthed and all presented solid, 1 was missing a wing tooth but very solid balance of mouth. Tagged majority with correct tags, 25 have been tagged with replacement Purple tags but still same age group.

Further Information: Property has undertaken a full PIRSA footrot program and received a full clearance 3 years ago, no sheep introduced to property since clearance. Small number of ewes showed signs lameness, were checked, deemed clean, lame due to seasonal conditions.
Feet were inspected at assessment. Inspected 10 head (5%)
Comments: Checked random feet and no signs of footrot, some showing signs of tenderness. these ewes have been handled excessively in past 2 weeks in damp muddy yards and with shearing and like some have become lame. Any badly lame will be removed.
