Assessor Comments
Offering the complete drop (tail removed) of ewe lambs off Mafekin. These future breeders carry about 5 decades of Merino breeding in their genetics. They are being offered as 2 lots being a run out the gate. The lambs are in store condition, still growing and at the time of assessment still had lambs teeth. The vendors are only diversifying their Merino breeding programme and this is the only reason these ewes are available for sale. They are mulsed, with some ewes showing stain around the breech (see pics). Approx 30 of the whole mob (470) carry small horns or scurs. They have a nice bright staple and the flock average is around 19 micron. The adult flock would cut over 5.8 kg. They are well grown for their age and they should grow into large framed matrons given their genetics and would suit both a Merino replacement or a cross breeding enterprise. They averaged 43kg after an overnight curfew. Not many opportunities present to purchase unclassed breeders like these.

Reluctant sale of complete ewe drop with a small tail removed. Simply changing sheep breeding programme. These lambs have had it good all the way through and would be some of the best we have had.
