Elders Hamilton is privilege to offer Stage 2 of the Waratah flock dispersal to the open market, consisting of 7000 Merino sheep. The Merino flock was established some 40 years ago with Merryville rams predominantly being used to produce true fine wools. In recent years Curlew and Firgrove genetics have been introduced on their breeding values for fertility, low WEC counts and overall doing ability. Waratah is renowned for producing high quality Merino wool, with the clip averaging 17.2 micron in 2023. For all the astute Merino producers, here is a wonderful opportunity to continue the trend.
Buyers please note it is in yours and the sheep’s best interest to move off Waratah as soon as possible so they can settle in for lambing.
