Age Breakup: Of assessed ewes - 64% Yellow tag (2021 drop - 1 hd red tag 2022 drop), 36% purple tag 2020 drop.
Assessor Comments
SIL medium to large framed 4.5-5.5 yr merino ewes. Of the sample assessed the majority, at 64% are 2021 drop with the balance being 2020 drop. They were joined to quality Redline Poll Dorsets on the 01/10/25 for 42 days. They were scanned on the 27/12/25 detecting 65% as carrying multiples and the balance singles (blue dot) with all drys painted and removed. These ewes stand on a solid frame and given they are predominantly 3/4 score in condition they would fatten to extra heavy weights comfortably. Giving the successful purchaser the chance to capitalise on the winter mutton market with the grantee that the lambs have the genetics to grow to sell as suckers given a season. Predominantly 2 marks with ewes being purchased direct the breeder ex Temora and Osborne with a small line purchased in by one of those vendors. They have 19-20.7 micron wool, are heavy cutting at around 7-8/kg annually. All of the hard work done - SIL to lamb from early March, carrying a good start in the skin.
