Assessor Comments
470, 4–6 year old store Merino ewes offered due to dry seasonal conditions. A genuine opportunity to secure a proven breeder mob that are ready to shear and go on to rear another lamb with the ram of your choice. These ewes have all successfully reared chunky 1st cross lambs in 2025. Any ewes that scanned empty or lambed and lost were culled in 2025, giving buyers confidence in the productivity of this mob. Additionally, 100% of the ewes have been udder checked. July 2025 shorn and currently carrying an average of 60mm of white crimpy wool with strength in the current wool market, these ewes present a strong wool growing and turnover opportunity. The mob is predominantly Barcaldine Downs blood with a small percentage of Willgunya blood ewes. January 2026 crutched and worm tested clean 03.03.26. They are also grain trained on a 75% barley and 25% faba bean mix feeding at 4kg/week. A great opportunity to add a reliable, productive Merino ewe suited to a range operations.

Vendor Comments
Due to dry seasonal conditions, we have made the decision to offer up these store ewes. We would love to shear them and take another lamb off, but our season will not allow. They have given us a quality wool cut and have all reared a 1st X lamb
