A rare offering of 590 x Aug/ Sep 2021 & 2022 Drop Boxleigh Park Blood Merino Ewes. Offered from a group of 1580 head, the ewes have performed relatively well given the dry summer and autumn in the Bookham district. Having had no supplementary feeding the ewes are healthy and will thrive if given the opportunity. The ewes are genetically very well bred and present with excellent length of body and will offer astute buyers the opportunity to purchase classed in ewes to shear and background for winter markets or retain as breeders suitable for merino or terminal sires. The ewes are sired by high indexing Boxleigh Park rams with a strong focus on the DP+ index. Breeding ewes on Bogolara are characterised by carrying soft crimpy wools on a medium/ large plain skinned frames. Ewes have NOT been joined.
Note: DPT will offer 3800 merino ewes in today’s sale, giving buyers the chance to purchase the complete flock of classed breeders. No ewes will be retained as the property is being leased.
