Heifers were generally pretty easy to handle in most areas of the yards. There were a few heifers that were slightly stirry in the race and crush and also out in the bigger yards. Buyers need to ensure no heifers get isolated as they potentially could react negatively and become stirry.

Buyers, cast your eyes over these excellent quality young Santa breeders. These are all registered heifers but are either out of commercial cows or have already been put up for classification and been rejected. Gyranda Santa Gertrudis Stud needs no introduction to either stud or commercial producers, they are one of the leading operations in Qld. These heifers display excellent breed character and trueness to type with very good length and depth of barrel. They are also structurally sound and show plenty of softness. The heifers are surplus to requirements at Gyranda and offer many years of quality breeding to any buyer. There are few heifers in the draft that have some buffalo fly rub on the neck and ribs and visible in the photos/video but not deemed to be an issue. All breeding details and Breed Plan EBV’s are attached for you convenience. These have had two pre-treatments in preparation for entry into clean country but still require a clean scratch and swim at a clearing facility.
