A very well bred and attractive line of young Hereford Females, the depth and years of breeding are displayed in this line of principally medium framed, rich coated, solid boned Heifers. They present in strong forward condition ideally suited to go into calving with all females visually showing signs of being in calf and beginning to soften down. A rare opportunity to purchase "Marlex" females which are classed breeders not culls. These young breeders will continue to mature with age and have the potential to be large framed matrons of a herd. The Vendor has retained a strong focus on type, productivity, fertility and easy doing as their key principles of selection. The Marlex Herd of Hereford's has a wealth of Breeding commencing back in 1950 and has been a closed Herd since 1969. Breeding principles of functionablity and fertility are key elements of the Altschwager's program and have been proven successful.

Sires are annually purchased at the Wodonga National and On Property from Tarcombe, Glendan Park and Newcomen Studs with strict selection criteria

We proudly offer these Females to the public as a rare opportunity to acquire Breeding Females from our herd. These selected Heifers are only on offer due to an expansion of the herd which has created a genuine reduction of surplus young females.
