Gilliland Livestock Marketing offers a terrific opportunity to purchase 45 number 9 Heifers and calves. Grazing on very light cleared pine forest country on the outskirts of Tamborine, these heifers present in store order as they are doing a tremendous job on their first calves. Predominantly sired by Droughtmaster bulls with some Charolais influence, out of a herd of Brahman cross cows these heifers have been raised to survive Lantana, ticks and buffalo fly. Vendors cattle are very noted doers and perform extremely well when given the opportunity on better country. On assessment the heifers were weighed to average 363kg after 12 hours off feed and as can be seen in the photos and videos present with a large amount of frame to add weight to very quickly. Please note one heifer has spots of lantana scaring. A very good line of predominantly Santa calves at foot to average 126kg consisting of 23 males and 22 females. A great line of young breeders with a lot of potential.
