Gilliland Livestock Marketing presents a quality line of 6 x 6 first calf heifers and calves. Grazing the native pastures consisting of mainly Rhodes grass at Mutdapilly the heifers present in store condition after focusing their efforts on raising the Angus calves at foot. At 1-3 months of age the calves were weighed to average 123kg and consist of 2 heifers and 4 males. The heifers have been continuously joined back with Charolais bulls since calving however have not been pregnancy tested. At assessment the heifers were slightly agitated whilst being handled through the yards however there was nothing malicious about them. Overall, these heifers present as a useful line of breeders that would be an asset to any operation. Buyers please note they are located in a tick area, however have been pre-treated on assessment to assist in the clearing and will be offered clear of the dip.

Cows were purchased as PTIC heifers off auctions plus earlier in the year and have since calved out.

Cows are from a quality Droughtmaster breeding program and calves are sired by stud Ascot Angus bulls

Cows and calves have been grazing on native pastures with some areas of improved Rhodes grass.
