Comment on Fat Score 1 Cattle
Cows are fit and healthy despite minimal fat cover. Dry conditions and calves at foot have resulted in cows using up a large percentage of body fat however energy levels remain high and cows are all active with no signs of ill health or lack of nutrition. Would anticipate these cows would travel a trip of 800km without problem however would benefit from spelling for journeys longer than this.

Cows were good to handle through the yards and over scales. Small % became agitated in the headbail during weighing but settled quickly once back in the mob. Cows were easily moved through the yards and worked calmly and quietly through the yards and race, small percentage of cows became slightly agitated when separated from the mob however settled quickly once allowed back into the mob.

Herd Dispersal of purchased ex “Teys Brothers” (cows included in property transaction). EU ACCREDITED line of Red and Black Angus and Angus Cross cows and calves. Cows have mostly excellent confirmation, depth and length contributing to heavy carcase dressing weights when fat.
Calves look to be between 1 and 4 months in age and range in weights from 35kg to 201kg to average 121kg. 39 males and 34 females in this cohort with 11 Black angus types and the balance Red Angus and Red Angus/Droughtmaster X.
Buyers please note all cows at assessment were "Bagged up" and quite possible a calf was left behind during muster, calf numbers may match cow number at delivery.
Cows have been rejoined to quality Simmental bulls from Meldon Park since the 16th of September and will be running with cows until delivery. To the best of our knowledge no other bulls have had access to these cows until then.
