Assessor Comments
Offering 83 station mated Brahman Cross Cows and Calves. These cows averaged 340kg live at assessment after a big curfew. The cows have been running with Angus Bulls and will be up until delivery. A sample of the calves at foot were weighed to average 78kg and range from 35 - 146kg. These cows are majority branded No.0 and No.9 and are on their first calves with a small percentage a few years older. The cows and calves are starting to feel the pinch of a short season but the calves look to be handling it well, so would respond well on good feed. Please note 2 cows sighted with bent tails and there are some with untipped horns as seen in photos. Also noted was a possible dog bite on the leg of one cow.
