These heifers are strong and healthy, with them being assessed as between store and forward store. They had shown signs of lice however were treated with Dectomax pour on and is expected that they would freshen up on decent quality feed.

Temperament is a feature of these heifers. They are quiet and very well educated. They flowed through the yards calmly and stood patiently in the race and head bale. Even after being Pregnancy tested and assessed the majority showed no signs of being upset or agitated in the yards.

Assessor Comments
2 decks of mostly very good quality of Pregnancy Tested in calf Angus heifers. Joined to Sandon Glenoch Stud Angus Bulls, selected for low birth weight, calving ease and high 200 day growth. The majority (36 hd) of these heifers are 5 months in calf, a further 13 heifers are 4 months in calf, with the remaining being 3 & 2 months in calf. Temperament is a feature of these future breeders, they are very calm and well educated and a pleasure to work through the yards. All purchased as one brand from Dorrigo NSW off Auctions plus apart from 6 vendor bred heifers. The quality of these heifers along with the weights would suggest that they may have had a set back and seen some a dry season prior to vendor purchasing. It is thought that there is plenty of growth in these heifers given the right nutrition.
