Herd dispersal **** 44 Angus and Angus cross heifers 13 to 18 Mths. Heifers present in store to forward store condition with a estimated live weight of 338.6 kg at assessment. Heifers are mostly all frame just moving now with the season.
The majority of the heifers are vendor bred with small percentage purchased in from Dalby as weaners.
The vendor bred heifers have been joined for the past six weeks to a LBWT Bonny Brook Angus bull with the vendors having no knowledge of any other exposure to bulls. The purchased heifers joining status is unknown.
Assessor notes that there are visibly pregnant heifers in the group right through to springing heifers.
Pregnancy status can not be confirmed or guaranteed. Heifers would benefit from a drench as they are carrying a lice burden at the moment.
Please note this assessment is a group assessment as the facilities did not allow us to weigh cattle individually.
