Purchased as PTIC heifers direct off Drayton Park Red Angus Stud, Meadows, South Australia, these quality breeders of the future have been calved down and redepastured to the Red Angus sire Hicks Henry Q31 since 23rd July. These young females and their calves were an absolute pleasure to handle in the yards, drafting and working through the yards with ease. Coming out of winter these heifers present in store to good store condition and should bounce away now once shown quality spring feed. Heifers display good length with well set udders and are doing a very good job on their 2-4 month old calves which averaged 139kg. There are 17 heifer calves and 10 steer calves with 20 calves having a red coat and 7 calves having a black or bronze coat. Some heifers displayed some light rubbing, note overnight lockup prior to assessing. Hard to find, properly bred Red Angus young breeders of the future.
