Heifers are fit to travel up to 1200 km from Julia reek in one lift. A 12 hour spell is recommended at 800 km if traveling further then 1200 km in one lift. Heifers are in a light store condition however have been in yards on minimal feed since from Sunday to assessment on wednesday and drafted twice in this time, would expect them to freshen up slightly once back in the paddock.

Good to fair to handle in the paddock and yards. Mustered with Motorbike & Gyro. In the crush/race a fair percentage became slightly agitated however mob generally settled down quickly. generally worked well in larger yards however still had a reasonable flight zone and moved quickly off pressure. no heifers considered aggressive and would expect them to respond well to more handling.

Aerial (Helicopters, gyro’s and planes) , Bikes
Assessor Comments
Good Quality backgrounder or breeding line of Vendor bred, EU Accredited Heifers. Displaying good to fair muscling with moderate frame and reasonable bone. Currently in store condition, heifers had spent 4 days in the yards with minimal feed at assessment, and display plenty of compensatory & growth potential on productive pasture. Estimate majority of these heifers to grade MSA. Drafted into a line of over 280kg heifers that have been exposed to bulls for a 2 month period, vendors "Keep" heifers out of this line had 30% 2-4 months pregnant and expect similar in these. A good to fair quality line of heifers in store condition with Medium frames and plenty of capacity to grow into breeders or trade heifers. branded number 0's with 5 x #9's. The mob are 52% reds and honeys, 10% black / brindle / Brown, 38% grey. Approximately 8/10 heifers have broken or slightly long toes that would be expected to clean up on tighter soils or harder country.
