Comment on Fat Score 1 Cattle
The Cows that were assessed fat score 1 are in strong condition & will travel anywhere following the correct travel guidelines. These Cows have been run on a water logged natural pasture paddock for the winter. This winter was very cold & wet which has given the country no time to grow nutritional feed. Cows will flourish as we head into warmer spring conditions & given correct nutrition.

These cows were a pleasure to handle right throughout the drafting and weighing process. Each cow stood still on the scales in the crush and waited contently then walked on when asked to move. Not docile as they moved off when asked without hurrying at anytime. These cows showed no signs of temperament issues even when the calves were being pulled of them.

A small Quality line of Large frame, predominantly Red Angus cows, NSM, presenting in store to forward/store condition doing a magnificent job on their progeny. The calves present unmarked in fresh condition exhibiting great squareness, softness and structure for such a young age. These cows have had a tough cold/wet winter and will flourish in condition given the correct nutrients heading into an exceptional forecasted spring. These cows and calves create a great opportunity in purchasing youth with 7 out of 9 cows being 2018 & 2019 drops (3-4 years old) that will do a job in any intended breeding program for many years to come. The Pibbon Red Angus herd follows the direction and beliefs of the Pharo cattle company program with all calves either being AI'd to Pharo Red Angus bulls or joined to Pharo Red Angus bloodlines used by Pibbon. Note: A portion of cows show rub marks but is common for this time of year and is deemed non detrimental. OPPORTUNITY AWAITS.
