Heifers handled well throughout the assessment process, drafting in backyards without issue. Heifers became uneasy in confined areas, round yard & force. 8 heifers became agitated in weigh station exiting with haste. 4 heifers continued to be alert / unsettled in our presence post weighing. Heifers settled post assessment & were accommodating when being maneuvered around on foot for photos & videos.

46 x 46 Angus Sired 1st Calf heifers with Booroomooka Angus sired calves at foot. Heifers present in healthy Store to forward store condition. Heifers have been rejoined with an Eastern Plains Angus Bull. Calves present in forward store condition, being marked on the 20/12/23. Heifers & calves have undergone a bout of pinkeye in the past 3 weeks receiving several eye treatments. 5 heifers & 6 calves were noted to have blue eye scarring as a result. Please note - throughout the assessment process 3 heifers were noted to not be lactating & not likely to be rearing a calf, indicating the possibility of an early weaning or potential twins within the consignment. Sale of heifers presents an opportunity to purchase a Genuine line of 1st calf heifers, bred to be large framed functional females, with all the hard work completed. Heifers would be considered a valuable acquisition to any commercial operating cow herd.
