Comment on Fat Score 1 Cattle
Cows have only weaned calves 8 days prior to assessment, would expect the lighter fat score cows to pick up rapidly now with the season and calves off them.

Assessor Comments
Mature classed breeders from the Oatleigh Pastoral company, have produced a calf year after year and are true proven performers. The Oatleigh cattle are known for their growth rates and in particular the fertility with the entire herd testing up at 97% this year, so its a testament to breeding program of which these cows are the matron of. These cows have again been classed with all faults taken out of them , you can buy with confidence they will raise another calf and potentially more. They are being offered to make room for the winter and because of the huge preg test result they are surplus to requirements now. There has also been a strong focus on getting all progeny to be black over the past few years and only Homozygous Black bulls have been used, this has been highly successful. Please also note the cows only weaned calves 8 days prior to assessment, its a credit to them to present in such condition, some of the cows also had not dried up milking completely.
