Cattle were very good to handle in yards, on occasions an isolated heifer would get a little agitated. Given the logistics of getting cattle to mainland Victoria or Tasmania please factor in slight variations to assessed temperament on arrival. Cattle are handled regularly given the rotational grazing program adopted by management and staff.

Assessor Comments
Outstanding draft of 40 EU Angus Heifers 30 mnths from Boongara and Reekara (offered as 4 lots of 40 ). Heifers are bred from a herd of high indexing cows based on Landfall, Te Mania and Lawson genetics. These females are PTE (had a calf last year) and as stated with all these females, only have short 6 week joining period and large mob sizes (400-600). Cows are perfect article to join this May/June of autumn calving program and young enough to feed for a winter market. Given the delivery delays we anticipate from King Island, buyers need to be aware of the following: Cattle are on excellent feed and will continue to gain weight until delivered and fat score will continue to improve. Assessment has 0.3kg gain from 6/4 to 16/4, which is a conservative number as feed quality is very good. 2 cloudy eyes, 6 white on udder, 1 white through brush on tail.
