Temperament not assessed in Paddock
The heifers were good to handle in the yards. Able to draft at close quarters no problem. Approx 5 heifers stirred up when mouthed in crush. All walked onto and stood on scales without fuss. Only when in head bale some resisted. Nothing abnormal for young cows. All settled when back in mob and re mothered quickly.

Assessor Comments
Presenting a very smart line of young Angus breeders with their first calf at foot. Weighing 480 kg's after 1 hr, these heifers display good length and temperament and are doing a good job on very good quality calves. The calves are very even with 1 calf born earlier (132kg's) and the rest born in a 5 week spread. The calves are by very good bulls (sons of Capitalist 315), and are benefiting from a good milk supply not always seen in 1st calvers. The season has helped in this regard. The vendor has selected these heifers out of a larger draft due to the small calving window. They were originally purchased to undertake an Angus breeding programme but opportunity provided a change in direction for the vendors and an opportunity for buyers to secure good young Angus breeders. Genuine heifers, the majority were 2 tooth only or just rising. Observed 2 heifers with a cloudy eye and one with a blue patch (see pics). There are 10 bull calves and 8 heifers. Genuine young future breeders.
