Temperament not assessed in Paddock
While working through the yards these breeders moved quickly and would display signs of stress and or aggression when pressured or isolated from calf. Once they were assessed and released out of the crush they were again relaxed, I was able to move through them quietly to take photos with the odd cow still moving about. These cattle will settle well in the paddock.

Assessor Comments
Buyers a large line of mainly medium to larger framed younger cows mostly (2-5 years) that have presented in store to forward store condition. These young females are currently doing a great job on their calves that have averaged 130kgs and mainly by the Clunie Range Angus bulls. Some of the cows are back in condition a bit as the tops of the calves are up over 200kgs but they are looking after there calves very well. Cows are a bit mixed in breed as they were sent down to Blackall from various other Paraway properties further north with the intention to be backgrounded up to heavier domestic feedlot entry weights. Obviously, these had the opportunity to the bulls prior to coming down so they didn't make the cut to be a feeder. These have all their life still ahead so with the size of the calves a quick rebate is possible later in the year with the sale of the weaners. Cows and calves are still good buying for a trade compared to PTIC females so don't dismiss these.

Vendor Comments
An opportunity for the successful buyer to purchase a run of good breeders to boost numbers into their herd. These young females are very easy to handle in the paddock and have the rest of their breeding future ahead of them.
