Assessor Comments
1 X 1 Jersey Cow & Calf Unit - Jersey cow presenting in very good working/forward condition, well grown with excellent frame for breed type, rising approximately 5 years, currently on 3rd calf - Male bull calf at foot, sired by a Limousin bull, rising 2 months, presenting in fresh sappy forward condition getting plenty of milk - Cow is NSM since calving, no bulls running on farm, suitable to re-join at anytime to bull of choice as continued breeder moving forward - Both displaying a reasonble quiet temperament at assessment - Sound potential to purchase for a smaller hobby farm type operation as a vealer mother or possible home milking cow in current production subject to further training/handling - The cow is doing a great job on the calf and will make a decent vealer given continued feed & favourable seasonal conditions - Purchase with confidence if this dairy breed suits requirements, a sound cow & calf unit - NOTE Male bull calf not marked/ringed at assessment
