The leaner cows are doing a great job on the calves and are possibly rearing the larger calves and are fit to travel . Normal practices should be followed travelling distance.

Assessor Comments
A well bred mob of cows and calves that are showing the benefits of strong bull selection focusing on calving ease and growth. (see EBV sheets attached) Highlights of the bull's EBV's, (NORM440) calving ease +5 (VHG21S55) 200 day +67, 400 day +119, and 600 day +155. The cows are predominantly younger cows and show good frame and milk. Given room and feed these units will benefit from the warmer weather and go on to rear great calves and put on a heap of weight. This load of cows and calves represent a good opportunity for the successful buyer to add to their herd, or fatten and split some good units in fairly short order. The vendor is offering a further 31 cows and calves in the same auction, so a successful buyer can put together 4 decks. In this lot, two cows have a blue eye (see photo) and one cow has healed wounds on her legs from a fall in the race (see photo). Please take into account that the cows had been in hand to mother and draft for about 30 hours prior to assessment.
