Temperament not assessed in Paddock
The heifers were generally good to handle in the yards and through the crush. Six head were slightly agitated in the crush while another two head were highly agitated. Most settled to a standing posture in the crush while being assessed. In the bigger yard they moved nicely as a mob but they they did tend to mob together and when the lead walked off the middle part of the mob tended to follow in a rush with a slower tail behind. Nothing aggressive in the mob.

Assessor Comments
A line of mostly good to very good quality, medium to large frame heifers. The heifers were joined to a Grove Shorthorn bull initially with a Mooroobie Angus bull later. They were vet preg tested in calf at the end of November and now would be 5 to 7.5 months in calf. The EID was recorded vs their PT month and is available to buyers post sale. The heifers are all vendor bred at either the vendors property in the Richmond district or at Salisbury creek. They are not culls but rather they are for sale as they are considered a little too soft for the vendor's breeding country north of Richmond. The heifers had a liveweight range of 370 to 540 kg full weight and are moving ahead on good feed. Two heifers noted with vaccination lump on near side neck (see photo) and two heifers noted with slight blue eye scarring in one eye. The heifers were good to handle in the yards and crush and should grow into good quality medium to large frame breeders.
