Temperament not assessed in Paddock
6 cows resented being caught and mouthed in the head bale, but were fine on their release. On the whole well educated, quiet young mothers that worked calmly and sensibly through the yards at assessment with 3 heifers being more alert and being a bit quicker.

Assessor Comments
22 X 22 young first calf heifers doing a good job on their calves. With 12 heifers presenting as milk and 2 tooth it is expected given the right conditions they would continue to grow out. The calves are mostly good to very good quality, soft crossbred calves with 14 male calves and 8 females. 11 calves appear to be be sired by Angus bulls, and 7 look, be sired by Santa Gertrudis bulls, and the remainder Hereford, Charolais, & maybe Droughtmaster. Please Note 1 Cow and 1 calf are brindle, 1heifer has a blue spot and minor scarring in one eye but does not seem to affect her.
