Assessor Comments
A nice line of quality, well grown Angus heifers possessing the weight, condition & maturity to stand them in good stead for a favourable joining. Heifers were observed to be 'bulling' up in the yards at assessment, & are primed to take the bulls at any time. These heifers were purchased as one mark, LARRIKIN ANGUS blood, yearling heifers, ex Baradine breeder in store condition, last Spring, & have been grown out & freshened up on agistment property near Wellington, with the intent to join to Angus bulls & retain as future breeders, however agistment is coming to an end. They have demonstrated excellent weight gains in a relatively short amount of time, on only native dried-off grass pastures, which is testament to the doability & breeding quality throughout these heifers. This, combined with the quiet temperament of these heifers makes them attractive candidates to compliment any Angus breeding operation looking to replace worn out cows for potentially no out of pocket changeover
