Considering that these cows have recently been pregnancy tested and have not long had their calves weaned off them, they handled well at assessment. Some of the cows did get slightly stirred up when under pressure in a tight yard. Other than that they handle very well in the paddock and have been very well handled.

This is an outstanding opportunity to purchase vendor bred breeders' cattle that normally do not come up for sale. Vendor is having a full dispersal of the older age groups of cows (Total of 96 cows for sale on A Plus today). They have just had their calves weaned off them and have been putting everything into their calves. Vendor would normally retain these cows for another couple of years in the breeding herd. The original herd was Simmental/Angus and only Nampara Angus bulls have been used for the last 12 years. More recently a couple of Sim/Angus bulls have been purchased off Woonallee stud. The Hassell Trading herd is large frame, heavy boned and these cows when they are fat are extremely big and heavy. They have a reputation for producing outstanding calves that are very sought after by regular bullock fatteners and feed lotters. The Hassell cow herd is very fertile regularly Preg Testing in excess of 90% Cows PTIC from cows joined. These cows come highly recommended.
